Chelsea v Fulham
The Premier League provides the usual hectic schedule of fixtures over Christmas and New Year. The festive period could prove decisive for the three London teams trying desperately to keep in touch with the two Manchester clubs in the title race. Chelsea who face back-to-back London derby games against Tottenham and Fulham. The Boxing day game against Fulham will be fiercely contested and the Blues cannot afford to drop points like they did at Wigan last weekend.
Daniel Sturridge did this column at EuroCupBetting.net a favour when opening the scoring (tipped at 9-2) but a late defensive lapse threw away certain victory and has left them adrift of United and City. The controversy concerning skipper John Terry continues to make the wrong sort of headlines and there has been much speculation about a possible swoop into the transfer market in January. Fulham go into this game on the back of a 5-0 home thrashing by United in midweek and will need to put on a hugely improved performance to avoid another humiliating defeat here.
Sturridge continues to impress and could be worth another investment at 4-1 to break the deadlock. A 3-0 Blues win is a best-priced 8-1. We found the best odds at William Hill.
Stoke v Aston Villa
Aston Villa are starting to look vulnerable following successive home defeats by Arsenal and Liverpool and now travel to an improving Stoke side. A defeat at Manchester City will not have dented Stoke’s confidence as they had won their previous 3 Premiership matches and will go into this clash as favourites. Their direct approach is likely to rattle an already shaky Villa defence and Stoke are expected to prevail at odds of Even money. A 1-0 win for Stoke is a best-priced 7-1 with Ladbrokes while Peter Crouch could be the man to provide the opening goal at 11-2.
Also; Bolton v Newcastle, Liverpool v Blackburn, Man Utd v Wigan, Sunderland v Everton, West Brom v Man City

Swansea v QPR
Neither of these teams have been able to make the most of recent opportunities and this has the makings of a tight encounter. QPR got the worst of a 5 goal thriller against Sunderland last weekend while Swansea succumbed to a single goal at Everton. Odds of 9-4 about a draw may be worth taking along with the 10-1 offered by Bet365 for a 0-0 score.
Norwich v Spurs
Tottenham face a potentially awkward Norwich side who have been nothing if not entertaining in the Premiership this season. They continue to confound the pundits who had them marked down for relegation back to the Championship. They bounced back from a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City by defeating Newcastle 4-2 and have since drawn with Everton and Wolves. They could, and perhaps should, have won both of those matches and Spurs will have to be on their guard.
Spurs continue to enjoy a lofty position in the Premiership 2011 and both sides will go into this game in search of goals. 11-4 looks a fair bet about a drawn game with 2-2 a best-priced 16-1 with PaddyPower. Adebayor is 5-1 to open the scoring and could be the best bet with fitness doubts surrounding other players ahead of this game. Lookout for more betting of Premier League.
Also; Arsenal v Wolves (re-arranged from Monday 26th)
